In response to the report, a number of organizations involved in drawing attention to the history of slavery in Zeeland have formulated a joint response to the report as a core group. The organizations in this core group, which is now called the Slavery History Knowledge Center Project Group, are the Zeeuws Archief, the Keti Koti Zeeland foundation, the Transatlantic Slavery Impact Knowledge Center foundation, the Roosevelt Institute for American Studies, University College Roosevelt, the HZ University of Applied Science, the Zeeland Library, and representatives of the Province of Zeeland and the three Walcheren municipalities: Middelburg, Vlissingen and Veere.
