Keynote speaker during the symposium was Prof. Dr. Guno Jones, chair holder of the Anton de Kom chair in the history of colonialism and slavery and its impact. During the conference, a number of researchers gave short presentations on the current theme of the Church and the History of Slavery.
During a dinner, Dr. Dienke Hondius discussed social-scientific research in the field of the history of slavery and the way in which the proposed international knowledge center in Zeeland can play a role in this with guests.
